Onwards with my world blog tour this week. Today's destination is Chez Larsson, which I discovered only recently. She has a wonderful eye, and runs a great blog and Flickr site showcasing her very creative and stylish home. Welcome to baysidemama - part of the 'mamahood' series of micro news sites. As a journalist I have watched the world's media get smaller and smaller in terms of issues covered. I passionately believe people still have a great thirst for news and information about the places they live in and want media sources which provide this.
My growing stable of 'mama' sites are for those who want news, views and information about the things which impact on their daily lives.
It is 'news with style' for women who want to know about the best childcare in their area and a great local place to eat. It is for women who care about the world they live in....but who also love fashion, beauty, food and design.
I have more than 20 years experience as a news journalist, editor, features writer and columnist covering politics, social affairs, news, fashion, property and more. baysidemama began as a blog of mine on 2009 as a bit of a hobby but has grown into a series of sites. Let me know if you have an idea which could feature. Of course I hope the stories we feature also interest readers far and wide!
