What's with the teen attitude?

My son is only a toddler and yet over the last few weeks has been giving us a rather curious - and very amusing - display of what I would normally associate with hormonal teens.
No I'm not talking tantrums or screaming matches.
I'm talking about his newfound habit of racing into his room, declaring 'this is mine' and closing the door to shut everyone else out.
I have no idea where he saw this and at first I thought it was a one-off. When I carefully open his bedroom door again I find him grinning rather sheepishly, but sitting happily playing with his cars and trains.
Perhaps he's just a kid who's going to need lots of personal space!

I just love the color on the feature wall, my husband commented on it as well. Thanks for visiting my blog.

That is a beautiful room.Which colour/brand is the paint? Its exactly what I have been after.Thanks.Btw, I think its boys. They have inbuilt testosterone attitude, and seem horribly wise beyond their years. My four year old has taken to doing that two fingered "i'm watching you" gesture, pointing at me and back to his eyeballs!!!! Where does that COME from?.They're loopy. Keeps things interesting : )Clare

Thanks for the comments everyone. Clare, in answer to your question on the aqua, it is a Dulux colour. I can't find my swatches at present with the exact title, but from memory it was something like Dulux true aqau or bright aqua. I tried a few in their aqua hues and the others all looked a bit too green once on the wall. - Kylie at Baysidemama
